Chris Advansun

Chris Advansun brings tremendous charisma to his “Our Changing World”
workshop and with dynamism and ease tackles the serious issue of climate
change.  Currently addressing youth across Canada, Chris didactically
introduces one of today’s most complex environmental issues to audiences
who will inherit its effects.

This interactive and engaging workshop seeks to convey the scientific aspects
of climate change in a way that suits young people, revealing the relationship
between the lifestyle of today’s average young person and our ecology.

While developing the workshop, Chris consulted with numerous educators and
relied on only the most credible and current information available, from
sources such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, The United
Nations Environment Programme and Environment Canada.

Our Changing Planet was launched in 2001 in Ottawa, where Chris embarked
on a tour of several of the city’s public secondary schools.

Chris currently lives in Montréal, where he works in the hospitality sector and
studies at the University of Montréal.
